Day 14, Thursday, 9/30/2021

When we made the decision to come back through Reno, we thought that we would have to take the route through Sacramento. Bruce woke up early this morning and while browsing the web, discovered that the Susanville supercharger had opened Wednesday afternoon, less than 24 hours ago. Also, the fires had burned out enough so that we could take that route. This probably took at least an hour and a half off our return trip. Also, we got to travel on a route we had never taken before.

Here we are at the Susanville supercharger. We were some of their earliest customers.

There were multiple times that the road was narrowed to a single lane while the clean-up crews were working to ameliorate fire damage. We still got home quicker by taking this route.

Beautiful countryside but serious fire damage. Here are some pictures taken from the car as we travelled.

At the end of the day we had travelled 302 miles for a final adventure total of 4400. We had a wonderful time. We had fun exploring and experiencing each others' ridiculously absurd senses of humor.
