We took our planned route between Reno and Las Vegas. Ignore the Google Maps driving time. We stopped to charge 3 times and took a bit longer to complete the route.
Before we left town, we had breakfast at another DDD restaurant. The portions were large and the food was okay, not great.
At Gardnerville, our first charging stop, there was a car show in the parking lot next to the superchargers. I always like a 57 Tbird (I was a 12 year old boy when they came out).
Here are a few more cars from the show.
The engine of this one is so tall, I wonder if the hood will close.
Since Bruce's wife is Deb, I had to take a picture of this 57 Chevy.
All along the route there were fascinating rock formations.
But there were also more evidence of serious fires.
At the charging station in Beatty, there was a cute burro wandering around the parking lot for hand-outs. Here we caught him working on opening up the trash recepticals behind the store/restaurant.
Finally, at the end of the day, we had put in 488 miles, bringing us up to 871.
