We took our planned route between Tucson and Carlsbad. We stopped to charge 4 times.
As I said last night, today was a day of travel. There wasn't much to see. We took a few pictures through the car window to show how blah the scenery was.
There was even the occasional tree (or tall bush).
Near the end of the day we drove past the Guadalupe Mountains National Park. It were more picturesque.
Notice is the foreground that there is a lot of green. Bruce says this is rare for this part of the world. There was other evidence that there had been heavy rainfall recently such as a large lake-like pool of water abutting the highway.
As the sun was setting, this set of hills had some interesting shadows. If you blow up the image you can see them better.
We were pretty tired when we got to Carlsbad. We unloaded the car at our hotel and found a pretty good BBQ place at the other end of town. After dinner, we drove to our RV park, plugged in a charger cable to the 50A outlet and walked across the street back to our hotel. Amusingly, the Tesla had earlier brought up a warning dialog box that we had barely enough charge to get to the closest supercharger.
Finally, at the end of the day, we had put in 581 miles, bringing us up to 1946.
