Another day of travel. We went to Spokane to get on Interstate 90 and
then took that route to the east until it was time to call it a day.
We ended up in Big Timber, Montana. A somewhat weird name for a town with
no observable timber anywhere nearby.
We stopped in Spokane and decided to look at the
falls that are in the middle of town. Here is a still photo of the
lower falls and a movie that gives a better view
We stopped in Butte to charge and had a view of an open mine adjacent
to the town.
Along our route, there was huge amount of road repair. From this
photo you can see that it would have been ever worse if we were
going west. The Tesla auto-pilot and beta "full self driving" did
not handle construction zones well.
Near the end of our journey we noticed the beginning of a rainbow. As
we neared Big Timber, the rainbow got full and was nearly a complete
arc.
Finally, at the end of the day, we had put in 530 miles.
