In the morning, Bruce and I drove into Tucson to the Tesla Service Center to see if they could fix the door to the glove compartment that wasn't opening properly. They said they could get around to it in a couple of weeks. One of the technicians came out to the car, determined that things were really broken but managed to make it work better for the moment. We then charged the car for our trip to Texas and came back to Vail. The four of us went to a Szechuan restaurant in Tucson for dinner. I'm not bothering to show you a map because we just went back and forth between Vail and Tucson.
I didn't get a picture before we started eating but here is a shot
of the table kind of near the beginning of the meal. There were lots
of leftovers to take home.
We spent some time in the back yard which has a wonderful
pool and beautiful native plants.
We haven't been very good about our daily mileage reporting but by
the end of today we've been a total of 1,035 miles since the start
of our adventure. The odometer number at the bottom is the total since
the car was new. It definitely looks like we will reach the 100,000
mark before this adventure is over.
