Today we went to the Lake Powell Visitor Center, then drove along Lake Powell for
a while. It was still early in the day, so we decided to drive to the north rim
of the Grand Canyon via Kanab, UT, where there is a supercharger.
We drove to the Glen Canyon Dam. We got a map from the visitor center and drove to
the Wahweap Marina. Here is a video of the expanse of the lake and a couple of
pictures of the bridge and dam. Notice how low the water level is in the lake.
We drove to Kanab to charge and then on to the North Rim.
We had heard that there was a fire at the North Rim. We understood that there was
no lodging, but thought that the Visitor Center was still open. Not the case.
There was a vantage point not far from the fenced in area. Here is a view of the
canyon from the north rim.
On the way back to Page, there was a vantage point where Bruce took a panoramic
video of the Vermillion Cliffs.
At the end of the day, we had driven 293 miles.
