Day 12, Wednesday, 7/08/2026. Arches National Park

Today we toured Arches Nation Park with a company called Mild to Wild Rafting and Jeep Tours. We were driven in one of their vehicles by Darren, a Navajo guide. Here are two maps. The first is our car travels, mostly around Moab. The second is the route that Darren took us on a comprehensive tour of the national park.

At our first stop, in an area called Park Avenue, we took a video.

At the next viewpoint, we captured a view of the La Sal mountains.

An amazing feature of the park is this balanced rock which appears to defy gravity.

One of the viewpoints was more walking distance than Dick was up for. Darren took a picture of Bruce in front of this tower

Perhaps the most famous arch in the park is called Delicate Arch.

Here are photos of other arches that we took in the park.

We drove the car to breakfast and dinner as well as to the tour location. We only drove the car 10 miles, but rode in the tour vehicle for about 60 more.
