Today was mostly a day of travel. We decided to go to Austin so that it would be easy to
get to Houston tomorrow. On the way, we stoped by the outlet mall in Round Rock to let Dick
return some stuff he had purchased at the outlet mall near Monterey.
We couldn't think of a lot of sight-seeing in Austin that both
of us hadn't already seen and it was late so we just relaxed in our room.
We started getting some clouds in the sky, but haven't seen any rain yet.
When they built the interstate, they didn't go over the hills. They just cut a slot and
kept the road level.
It's fun to look at the cut-off hillsides and see all of the strata. There were some
much higher than this one but we had passed them before I thought to take pictures.
Finally, at the end of the day, we had put in 516 miles.
