Today was mostly a day of travel. In the morning, we washed some clothes and threw them
in the dryer then met Kirsten for breakfast. When we got back to Joanne's, we discovered
that we had not set the dryer to a long enough time (or warm enough temp) and the clothes were
still wet. We finished drying them, packed up our stuff and hopped in the car around 11:00 AM.
We stopped several times to charge and eventually ate dinner near one of the charging stations.
We stopped for the night in D'Iberville, Mississippi (which is essentially Biloxi). We're
at a Super 8 Motel that is pretty basic. We're on the second floor and there is no elevator.
The phone doesn't work. The security latch on the door is broken. There are no Kleenex in
the Kleenex holder slot in the bathroom. Basically a step down from sleeping on Joanne's sofas.
We have observed several times that the hurricane destroyed (or partially destroyed) some
of the roadside billboards.
Louisiana has a lot of wetlands. I snapped a picture on a marshy area beside the road as
we were hurrying down the interstate.
We crossed the Mississippi a couple of times. I took a picture from the bridge as we
were zooming by.
Finally, at the end of the day, we had put in 429 miles.
